Hardwood floors when to replace after a water damage

Hardwood floors that need replace due to length of time water was in contact with them.

This Chambersburg home was not occupied daily and when the caregivers checked on the home there was extensive damage to the hardwood floor. As the photo illustrate the height of the change of flooring these floors had to be removed and replaced.

With the right condition, speedy response, and specialized equipment hardwood are typical saved during a water damage. After the hardwood floors dry they should natural settle within 6-8 weeks and then may need refinishing and sanding. Still it is a less invasive process than replacing.
