Winter Storm Prep for Winter 2021

A winter storm.

Winter is near for the southcentral Pennsylvania region, and we need to familiarize ourselves with the winter storm preparedness. Take immediate action if you hear these words on the news according to the redcross.org. Winter storm WARNING: life threating, severe winter conditions have begun or will begin within 24 hours. Blizzard Warning: Sustained winds or frequent gust of 35 miles per hour plus considerable falling or blowing snow reducing visibility to less than a quarter mile, expected to prevail for three hours or longer

Before the storm prepare your home, car, and family for the storm.

• Have food for at least several days
• Have good tires and a full tank of gas in your vehicles, recovery gear, and a blanket incase your stuck in the elements.
• Prevent your home from freezing pipes

Have ample supply of heat to include a back up heat method incase of loss of power
